Colt Quest

Praline finds Emerald Jewel on her farm and convinces her mother to let him stay over. Emerald says he'll teach her to write, but she has to wait for Emerald to do a bunch of chores first.
Eventually she gets given a lunch made by Emerald, who also gives her a hug.
She is then taught how to write her own name, but this is cut short when she is asked to go with Emerald to find Giles.

Praline finds Giles in the barn unconscious. Then she finds Stargazer.
She makes a mad dash for the house to get help. Finding guards there, she gets one to follow her back to the barn.
Getting to the doorway she is shocked to see Giles on top of Emerald.
The 3 of them run towards the house, but Praline is told to go on without them, leaving Emerald and Giles to finish.
Praline goes inside the house and tells her mum what happened. She is very upset, and during her mother's consoling, she falls asleep.[citation needed]
She wakes upon Joyride's arrival, and is able to sadly say goodbye to Emerald.
